As you may or may not have heard, there are children in Indonesia that are suffering while trying to commute to school. IH believes we need to help these children get to school safely and get a well deserved education. As a non profit organization we believe if we unite with other non profits and donors we can raise enough money and awareness to help repair the bridge and urge the local government to take action. We would like to thank all those that helped by donating to our Bangladesh Project, which will provide some lucky primary students with a filled schoolbag! We are glad to say the donations collected to date, will help a few lucky students in Syelet, Comilla, Noakhali, Chittagong & Sandwip districts! We are currently reviewing to approve the proper and affordable vendor to provide those filled schoolbags. We're also glad to say, last year this project was able to raised $6,394.07 since September 2011! While we are currently processing for these schoolbags orders, dont' forget to check back our event pages, where you will find our project detail! International Homeroom's existence and purpose is to provide the resources and opportunities that exist in America to the forgotten children of the world, by generating financial support for educational institutions in impoverished international communities. The organization will foster an atmosphere where children across national and cultural boundaries can be nurtured and taught the fundamental and essential educational skills needed to become successful in life. It is our goal for children everywhere, boys and girls alike, to be able to complete a full course of primary schooling. We believe that we can help eradicate poverty and promote peace and unity in the world through education.
